Paul Nelson Will Give Two Provocative Presentations This Week in Southern California

Paul Nelson

Discovery Institute philosopher of biology Paul Nelson will deliver a pair of provocative presentations this week in La Mirada, California, on the campus of Biola University. Dr. Nelson is always delighted to greet old friends and meet new ones.

The first event is Wednesday, May 3. Nelson will speak on the subject, “The Origin of Life, the Humpty-Dumpty Effect, and God.” That’s 4:30-5:30 pm in Bardwell Hall, Room 112. What’s that all about? He offers the following as food for thought:

Why don’t dead cells come back to life? The material or physical components of a cell, even when present in their entirety, do not constitute the living state.

Discuss!

The second event is the next day, Thursday, May 4, when Dr. Nelson will address the question, “If Human Were Created, Why Are We So Close to Chimps Genetically?” The time 1:30-2:50 pm, once more in Bardwell Hall, Room 112.

The full address: Bardwell Hall, Biola University, 13800 Biola Avenue, La Mirada, CA 90639.

Sponsored by the Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering Department and the Master’s in Science and Religion Program, both speeches are free and open to the public. Please do join us for either or both!
