On a new episode of ID the Future, historian Richard Weikart, author From Darwin to Hitler, talks with host Michael Keas about a recent book by philosopher Michael Ruse on Darwinism, Christianity, and war. Weikart records a curious fact: in the course of the book Ruse appears to shift from warning others about treating Darwinism as a secular religion to embracing it himself as such. Weikart also says the book presents Darwinist views on war as more palatable than Christian views. But Ruse only manages to do so by ignoring key primary and secondary historical material indispensable to a fair and accurate assessment of the issue.
