Could scientists and advocates of scientism really make a worse hash of things than the politicians?
The Nazi Party, says David Berlinski, “was a marvelous engine of cooperation. All those Nazis cooperated with one another running death camps.”
Dr. King was sharply critical of the misuse of science to promote racial discrimination, and he spoke forcefully against the idea that humans are the products of a blind material process.
Sometimes scientists do not, in fact, follow the evidence. The consensus, then, could be wrong.
