Michael Behe Needs Some Angelic Help

Biochemist Michael Behe needs some angels. No, not the heavenly kind — the Hollywood kind, as in “backers.” Will you be one them?

Last year, Discovery Institute premiered the YouTube series Secrets of the Cell with Dr. Behe. Exploring the miniature machines inside our cells, these short and engaging videos have attracted nearly 750,000 views so far.

Now Dr. Behe wants to create two longer episodes of Secrets of the Cell (22 minutes each) that will allow him to explore topics in more depth:

  • The first episode will investigate the amazing world of bacteria. Did you know some bacteria can form a “wire” that conducts electricity? Or that other bacteria have a kind of GPS system that allows them to navigate where they need to go?
  • The second episode will focus on our miraculous blood clotting system, revealing how proteins come to our rescue in a fascinating sequence of repair and healing.

A Product of Design

Both episodes will provide jaw-dropping evidence that life is the product of intelligent design.

We hope to start making these two videos next month. But to do that, we need to raise $122,000 for on-location film shoots, new animation, and post-production.

Will you be an “angel” and become one of Dr. Behe’s movie producers for this new venture so we can start production?

Unlike Hollywood, we don’t have investors with deep pockets. We rely on a special group of supporters who understand how videos change people’s minds. Dollar for dollar, this is one of the most impactful investments you can make in reaching our culture with the truth that we are the products of intelligent design, not blind chance. Did you know:

  • In the last few months, more than a million unique viewers have watched our videos on YouTube.
  • Since 2019, our YouTube channels have attracted nearly 11 million new views.
  • We now have over 165,000 subscribers to our top three YouTube channels, with more subscribers being added daily.

Viewers are posting thousands of comments about how our videos are impacting their lives. Here is just a sample:

  • “This video SAVED me from DROWNING in the primordial soup!!!!”
  • “Wow, this makes science exciting again.”
  • “The world needs to know this.”
  • “I’ll be using this clip to help wake up friends and family.”

“Keep Them Coming!”

Many are pleading for more videos, posting comments such as: “This is awesome, keep them coming!” Will you help us answer these pleas?

Become a movie producer and help bring the evidence of intelligent design to millions of people in the next year. Can Dr. Behe count on your support?

Right now, we have $40,000 that can be used to match your gift for these upcoming films with Dr. Behe. So if you donate $50, you will actually be providing $100 to help Dr. Behe, and if you provide $5,000, that will turn into $10,000. Help us reach our goal so we can go into production next month!
